That means they’ll have their own logins and profiles. It is the responsibility of the head of the family to determine which members of the family will be able to sign in to the site, and to notify them about their login credentials. As the head of family, you may not want the younger members of your family to have their own logins.

Your existing family members from the IJA database have all been added to the site. Many of them did not have email addresses. If you had an alternate email defined and it appeared to belong to a family member, then they got that email address. A unique username and email was required, so a temporary username and email address have been created for each one.

You, as the head of a family membership, should take one of the following three steps for each family member:
- define a valid email address (username) and set up a password, or
- suspend the member so they will not be able to login, or
- remove the member from your family membership.

You can remove, or “detach,” a family member if they are no longer living at the same address as you, or if they want to convert to an individual membership. You also may want to add more family members to your Family Membership or Life Membership. Additional family members are free.

When you sign in to the IJA site, select ‘Manage Profile’ from the top menu. Then you can:
- view and edit your own profile
- change your password
- view your membership status
- print your membership card
- view your payments
- manage your preferences
- manage your family membership.

Select ‘My Family Members’ and you’ll see how many “seats” you have and who is included. “Seats” is how many family members you are allowed to have in your membership. Currently, 5 seats are allowed by default and each family member added to the membership will reduce that number by 1. At the bottom of the ‘My Family Members’ screen, you’ll see a list of all your family members. You can select the icons next to each member to:  
- Edit this member’s bio
- Detach the member
- Suspend them
- View their profile
- Sign In as the member.

If you want to change their password for them, you’ll have to Sign In as the member. That means you’ll get logged out under your own account and immediately be logged-in as if you were that member. Everything else in the profile can be changed by selecting Edit this member’s bio. You'll need to know their old password. If you don't know the old password, then you'll need to use the "RESET PASSWORD' process and they will get the email with the instructions.

If you suspend or detach a member, then you’ll get a “seat” added back to your membership. If you have seats available, you can add more family members. They must all live at the same mailing address as you. If you suspend or detach someone, we'll get notified and we aill change their membership to an Individual (or Youth) and mark them as suspended. They'll need to renew their membership if they want to remain an IJA member.

You have two ways to add a family member. You can either select: ‘Create My Family Members’ and add the member yourself, or enter their email address in the ‘INVITE NEW MEMBERS’ field and select ‘SEND INVITE’. You will NOT be using the Online Store or the renewal process to add a family member. They never need to be renewed. They will have the same expiration date as you.

The easiest process is to send the invitation. The family member will receive an email with an invitation to join your IJA membership. If they want to accept the invitation, they should click on the link provided in the email. The link expires after 30 days. Upon clicking the link, they will be taken to the site where they must complete the registration process by entering a unique username (email address) and First and Last name. When they complete the member information, their account will automatically be attached to your membership.

If the new family member is already an IJA member, please use the Contact Us form to request that they be attached to your family.

All your family members will have the same expiration date as you. When your membership expires, so does theirs. There will NOT be a membership card that lists all your family members together. Each member will get their own membership card.

If you're a Life Member and want to add family members living at the same address as you (for free) under your IJA membership, if you don't see 'My Family Members' under 'Manage Profile', just contact us via this page https://ym.juggle.org/general/?type=CONTACT to request having your Life Membership enabled to include free additional family members.  Be assured that your Life Member credentials are intact and your membership does not expire.

  1. Click Join the IJA at the top left of this page.
  2. At the bottom of the resulting page, choose the kind of membership you want. Select "Individual" unless you want to include additional family members at the same address in your membership.  Then click Continue.
  3. Type your Email address into the Username field. Enter your first and last names in the corresponding fields, click I'm not a robot, and then click Continue.
  4. (If the system finds an existing member with a name like yours, it will suggest resetting your password if that account is yours. To ignore a close match to an existing member, just click Continue to create a new membership.)
  5. Select one of the membership types (shown with corresponding dues).  Click Continue with the Selected Membership.
  6. On the next page, fill in your information, specify your password (twice) and enter your email address (twice).  You can also specify which parts of your information are visible to other IJA members. To hide a field from IJA members, select the Person Icon next to the field and select "Private (Not Visible in Profile)." No information will be visible to non-members.
  7. Click SUBMIT when you’re done setting up your information.
  8. Next fill in your credit card information, including billing address, to pay for your membership, then click SUBMIT SECURELY. (Checks are not accepted.)
  9. You’ll get an email confirming your new membership. 
  10. If you have created a family membership, sign in with your newly created username and password and you’ll be able to create new additional family members from there.

Sign in to update or renew your membership, to register for the IJA festival, or to access members-only info on eJuggle and the membership list.
 
To sign in for the first time, use the reset-password feature by following these instructions:
  1. Click SIGN IN at the top left of this page.
  2. On the LOGIN page, click on Click here to reset your password.
  3. In the Username or Email field, enter the email address where you currently receive IJA eNewsletters.
  4. Below that, check the "I'm not a robot" checkbox and click Reset Password.
  5. An email will be sent to you within seconds. If it doesn’t appear in your Inbox, check your Spam folder. The Subject: line will read, International Jugglers' Association : Password Reset Request.
  6. In the email, click on the link that says, Reset My Password Now!  That will take you to the RESETTING YOUR PASSWORD page.
  7. Choose a strong password for your IJA account and enter it into the Password and Confirm Password fields.  Be sure to note your new IJA password.
  8. Click Reset Password.
  9. The next page will say, "Your password was reset!” Be sure to note the email address you used, as you'll use it to sign in to the IJA website.
  10. Click the link that says Click here to sign in.
  11. Sign in to your IJA account with your email address and your new password.
  12. If your membership has expired, you will be prompted to Renew your membership.

Thank you for choosing to belong to the International Jugglers’ Association. If you enjoy juggling half as much as we do, you have found the right organization.

Founded in June of 1947, the International Jugglers’ Association is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization uniquely dedicated to juggling and object manipulation. Acting as a service organization dedicated “to render assistance to fellow jugglers,” the IJA currently has approximately 1,300 members in 32 different countries.

No longer considered just a performing art for circus and vaudeville shows, juggling has also become an active, engaging hobby for many people around the world.  The IJA membership includes many professional, sport, and amateur jugglers, who enjoy sharing their interest with others.

We salute our founding fathers who created the IJA to answer the need for an “organization for jugglers that would provide meetings at regular intervals in an atmosphere of mutual friendship” -- Harry Lind, F.R. Dunham, Bernard Joyce, George Barvinchak,  Roger Montandon,  Eddie Johnson,  Art Jennings and Jack Green.

The basic philosophy of the IJA can be condensed into three cornerstone words:  Inspiration, Communication and Cooperation. We seek to provide information and facilitate communication between members of the juggling world and the general public.

To implement this philosophy, the IJA provides the following services:

  • We encourage those who exhibit curiosity about any aspect of juggling to learn more about this enjoyable art form and sport. The all-volunteer officers of the IJA answer hundreds of inquiries each year.  
  • This IJA website at http://www.juggle.org provides information about our organization, a discussion forum, links to other information about juggling on the internet, and a online store.
  • The IJA's online publications are geared specifically to the needs and interests of the juggling community.  As a member, you will have access to the online IJA magazine eJuggle, and you’ll receive the monthly IJA eNewsletter by email.  See the menus at the top for links to these resources.
  • The IJA supports local affiliate juggling clubs who pay a one-time application fee and are entitled to benefits not available to other juggling clubs such as door prizes and mailings to advertise local juggling festivals.
  • The IJA maintains a searchable online international directory of member jugglers and IJA affiliate juggling clubs.
  • Since 1948, the IJA has held an annual summer juggling festival generally held in July.  You'll find information about this year's fest under the FESTIVAL menu above.
  • Along with the astounding sight of hundreds of people juggling simultaneously, the IJA festival provides dozens of scheduled events: workshops, round-the-clock open juggling, international competitions, amazing stage shows and the annual business meeting of the IJA.
  • The IJA maintains an archive of posters, photographs, books, magazines, newspaper articles, videos, props and costumes to record and preserve the history of juggling.
  • The IJA annually sponsors World Juggling Day to help spread the fun of juggling and to unite jugglers on all continents in this delightful activity.  Yes, there has been juggling in Antarctica at the South Pole, not to mention in space!

 

The members of the IJA constitute a blend of top professionals, avid hobbyists, and enthusiastic beginners. It is the intention of the IJA to provide membership to all for a reasonable annual fee.
